We are all healers. God made us so, but the honor and glory belongs to Him. It is God who heals the body and soul, doctors and physicians are only instruments of God to heal people. Jesus has been a great healer because he is one with God. Even the disciples of Christ performed miracle healing because they believe in God and they belong to the ultimale source of life–God.
God allowed us to be sick and experience illness of the body and mind so He could heal us and enable us also to be healers of people. Of course it is not only in physical healing where we can apply healing, but as well as in the spirit. We can help people help themselve when they are broken hearted, when they are losing hope, and are needing somebody to listen to them. We can be doctors without necessarily going to the medical school, it is enough that we allow God to transform our lives to beome healers of people. Again healing comes in many forms; it is not necessarily physical. I want to make myself clear on this perspective.
Healing also applies to our sense of patriotism. You and I in a way can be healers of a sick nation by analyzing and understanding various issues that make our society ill. We express views that may render understanding and solution to a recurring problem of our society, our political system, and our government. We are here to seek for the truth, rally against corruption and injustices in the government, and to protect and promote the democratic ideals of our country. We deal with various infractions of social order and unrighteousness in governance of the people–this is healing for the nation, a vital step to insure progress and the future of our children.
